GQ Fall Fashion Preview

So I just love it when my blog receives an award, it's very heartwarming. My blog receiving an award for being inspirational is even better! Thank you so much HiFashion ! You two are amazing! I would love to give this award to you two, but since you already have received it, (which undoubtly was a good choice on whoever gave it to you), I will give it to the following:
Marta from With Love

Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick nicely pulls of GQ's Fall Fashion Preview, in this month's issue. I don't usually show men's fashion on this blog, but I saw this and thought it would be great to share with all of you!! Above, he is wearing a rain-free trench, and a fair isle sweater, below he is looking great in a fatugue jacket!

Here he showcases: Left: The Henley

Right: The Double-Breasted Suit!

I'm loving the henley look!

Ed wears the plaid shirt well, and to the right he shows the dark on dark look!

When it comes to male fashion, GQ usually knows what they are talking about! If you have a special man in your life try to convince him to try something new with his style, and have him start with one of these amazing looks for this fall! You can't go wrong!

Super Sunday

I'm not sure why the lighting in this first picture turned out differently and why the last picture looks so light. Anyway, I'm wearing a shirt from Forever 21. I like this shirt because it looks like I'm wearing a collared shirt underneath, but yet it's just one shirt...tricky....I know! I also like it because I can wear it dressy or casual, like I'm wearing it right now with an old pair of dark denim Glo jeans from Elder Beerman.

Well, we should hear about the house on Monday or Tuesday....I pray it works out. I really want to be able to paint walls and fully decorate the way I want, rather then being hindered by the rules of this apartment complex! Any decorating ideas? I'm going to try to post the paint scheme that I am thinking soon.......

Also, today at church our pastor was talking about forgiveness, and how important it is to offer forgiveness and to accept it. Do any of you feel like that is a tough subject? Is it hard for you to offer forgiveness or accept it for that matter? I'm just curious. I think most people probably struggle with it in one way or another.

I hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!

Leopard My Love

So I got a haircut! I asked my hairdresser for a trim and side bangs! At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about the them, but I'm beginnings to embrace them! I think they're fun and offer a bit of change! What do you think? I still have yet to decide on a hair color, not sure whether I will stay blonde yet or not, but I do appreciate all your wonderful advice on the matter! I know there are a lot of photos of me here, but it was my first time wearing this dress that I bought from Forever 21 like 5 months ago! I've been nervous to wear it, because it's not my normal style and it's short! So I paired it with black tights and black heels, and since I've lost some weight in these past couple months from eating healthy I felt confident enough to show my arms like this, since it was too hot anyway for a cardigan! Also, I've decided that for the fall I want to get a bunch of fun cardigans that way I can just pair them over a solid color tank, but yet have a stylish outfit with pretty and fun printed cardigans. Any suggestions on where to buy? Also think on a budget please! We recently made an offer on a house, and are waiting to here back! I'm so nervous!!

So, anyway, I hope you like this outfit! The dress was like 15 bucks from Forever 21, and I felt confident in it! And a bit bold too, which is always fun!! :) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Lots of Love!

Marie Claire September 2009 Ashley Olsen

So I recently came across Marie Claire's 2009 spread with Ashley Olsen. All pictures are from www.Olsen-Files.com Although, I've always liked the Olsens, Ashley Olsen has always been my favorite Olsen sister. I usually identify with her style more then MK's, but no doubt they both have fantastic style!

The scenery in each photo is fabulous! I really love this spread! You should pick up the latest Marie Claire magazine and check out the article inside! Ashley spills secrets!! Supposedly!

Sweet As Lemonade

I've been doing some thinking after watching a young women by the name of Jordan Christy on the today show discussing her new book: How to be a Hepburn in a Hilton World

I was thinking how accurate she was when discussing how in this world we are consumed by hilton type stars in the media, rather than back in the day when they had such great women to look up to. Women like Audrey Hepburn for instance, women who were actually good at their craft. Rather then the women that are famous and yet have no real talent...but yet they are the ones all over the tabloid covers.....
Why in today's society are we bombarded with women stars exposing themselves to the media.....can you imagine Audrey Hepburn being seen in public without her underwear??! She had too much self respect to be put in that position. So what is lacking from the women stars of today? Now, I want to say, there are still some women who do represent what it is to be classy. But what is up with women of today? Are morals not an issue anymore? Is it just because today's
society has become more liberal that the stars of today are the way they are? I would really like to know what you think? I also want to know what stars you think are out there that are classy and lady like still.....like a classic Audrey Hepburn.....
Wouldn't it be better if when someone looked back at your life that they compared u to a classy women like Audrey Hepburn was or would you rather be a "lindsay lohan" or a "paris hilton"?
Okay, so with that theme I put together a set on polyvore, that was inspired by Hepburn. I thought these pieces were fun, chic, classy and lady like. What do you think? Any of these dresses are other things on here something u would wear? I think you can look utterly amazing without exposing a lot of skin.....bring back the classic beauty!!

I just realized I never acknowledged this award given to me by the amazing dynamic duo from Hifashion! It was greatly appreciated and I am so excited when I actually receive awards! So thank you so very much!

I want to pass this award onto:

Taylor S. from First the Girl
Sophia from Tic Tac Tomato
Kristin from BonBon Rose
Annie from ideas.fashion.life
I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday! And check out that link in my post before this one, it has a great recipe! Craving something sweet and easy? It's a how to video and it serves 12, with each serving only being a 100 calories! So enjoy! I know I'm going to try it!
