Stressful Times, and Easier Tomorrows.....

Hey Girls!  I have no recent pictures!  So here's a few pictures from Thanksgiving that I never did actually post!  I'm leaving Thursday morning at 7am so it's crunch time!  I have very little packed, and I still need to buy a couple of needed clothes for the trip!  I looked through my closet and it doesn't seem like I have much for a vacation in Mexico.  It's supposed to be high 70's and into the 80's.  So definitely warmer than the weather we've been having here.  And of course, that type of clothes I need I can't really find in stores right now, since it's out of season!  I'm looking for casual summer skirts or simple shorts.  Not much luck in town, but I'm heading up to our mall for a quick trip after this, so let's hope I find something!

Awkward picture I know, but wanting to show you the skirt I wore!

Everything has been so hectic around her this week before vacation, Saturday and Sunday, my husband was sick, with flu like symptoms.  He was miserable!  Thankfully he has recovered before the vacation!  And then Sunday night my mom was emitted into the hospital and they ended up having to do surgery early this morning.  So we were there with her yesterday and today up until now.  It was an unexpected thing, but thankfully all went well.  They had to remove a very large kidney stone that was stuck in the narrowest spot, and would no go any further.  So they had to operate to remove it and relieve her pain!

It was a success and she is doing better.  It's just kind of bad timing for everything to be going wrong!  Yikes!  I'm kind of stressed!

On a completely different not, I wanted to be sure to share with you the turkey my 21 year old brother actually made, brine and all for Thanksgiving!  I meant to show you sooner, but didn't get around to it.  We were all so impressed with him, he's never made a turkey before, and he volunteered to make two this year, each for a different get together.  This one has bacon wrapped around it and the brine, which adds flavoring to it, was very delicious!  We were all so proud of him!  Look at the lovely presentation too!

Well, that's all I have time for today girls.  I've got loads to do before leaving!  I'm nervous but excited!  The next week I will have some guest posts up from some amazing bloggers, so stay "tuned"!

Have a Merry Christmas!
