Oh my goodness! I cannot believe it has been 4 months! That is terrible! It's been a long four months. I'm just going to jump right into it. The main thing that has kept me away has been my mom's health issues. Unfortunately starting around October my moms health has gotten worse and worse. Over the holidays, particularly Christmas she was in the ICU with swelling on the brain. They were eventually able to get that under control, thank goodness, but months later she is still suffering from head pain worse than a migrane. She has been going to different specialists around the state and even seeing one a state away. With tests after tests we still don't have all the answers but at least some really scary possibilities are ruled out. Wow, I didn't even expect to go into that much personal detail but I felt like my loyal readers deserved some type of explanation! I hope I still have some readers!
This whole year I haven't been a consistent blogger and I realize that. My son, just turned 1 on March 1st and I suppose a lot of my time has been diverted from the blog and onto him. I haven't quite mastered time management, but I don't think it's too bad that I give him mostly all of my attention! ; ) Oh, but I do miss blogging, like crazy actually! I've become addicted to Pinterest, it's something I can easily look at on my phone when Jonathan's napping or what not, but anyway, any time I'm on Pinterest looking through stylish outfits and lovely hair ideas, I always think oh, this would be so perfect for the blog or how badly I miss posing for outfit shots!
I can't guarentee consistancy quite yet, but be sure to stop by from time to time in the mean while. Also, follow me on Pinterest. Find me under people, name Tasha Frye! I'm very active on there right now so come and enjoy my style file, or some yummy recipes, or maybe see some heels I've been lusting after! : ) Thank you for being the best readers a girl could ask for!

I love this time of year! We just enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas is just around the corner! I've been enjoying my Christmas music and doing some Christmas shopping! So excited for Jonathan's first Christmas! He'll be almost 10 months when Christmas comes around. I know he won't really understand what it's all about, but I bet he'll love the wrapping paper and the boxes the toys will come in! ; )
Right now I'm enjoying a cup of maple coffee with a tsp of vanilla syrup and some Bailey's coffee creamer in their golden cheesecake flavor. Decadent and yummy! I love that I can enjoy something sweet that's still low calorie, so it doesn't ruin my diet!! Most of you know I have a huge sweet tooth, so I need something to fill the void of desserts! Also, I've been doing really well with my diet! Yeah! I've lost 2 lbs! I'm focusing on filling up on fruits and veggies, which is going really well! Thanks for your tips and your encouragement!
Also wanted to mention that when at home, we enjoy our coffee made from our keurig. We got it last Christmas and have been using it all year long. It really is a good investment, if you've been thinking about getting one, I definitely would! It works out really well for my husband and I because I have to watch how much caffeine I have, since I'm breastfeeding, so I usually choose decaf, and my husband sticks to caffeinated coffee, so we can both have what we want without making two separate pots of coffee!
What items are on your Christmas list this year? Anything in particular you have your eyes on? Clothes, or maybe a new book? Possibly a new camera or tablet? What have you been lusting after that you're hoping to receive for Christmas? I'm still thinking on my list. ; )

Hey girls! With Thanksgiving this past week my diet went out the window! This week we had three different Thanksgiving celebrations to go to. How's a girl suppossed to eat healthy? I have been eating loads of food and lots of desserts, like pumpkin whoopie pies, pumpkin rolls, layered pumpkin pie, cheesecake.... Oh dear, it's been terrible! I've been terrible! : / But starting now I'm going to get back on track! I'd love to lose 5lbs! I would be ok with a little more. I was looking on weheart.com for inspirational pics. I'd love to hear any tips or motivation you girls might have! What keeps you on track?

Hello ladies! I don't know about you, but I love Kate Bosworth's street style! Often it's casual but chic. Her street style often looks effortless yet well but together. Love it!
How about you? Do you love Kate's style? Would you wear any of her looks?

Hello lovelies! I hope all is well with each and every one of you! It's been a little hectic around here, so I'm sorry for the lack of posts! Being a new mom is hard work. I do have an exciting new post for you today though! A fun sunglasses review! I was contacted by the lovely Jess from Sunglasses Shop! I was thrilled to get the chance to review a pair of big, bold sunglasses!
Even though fall is here and winter is just ahead, I still need a good pair of sunglasses, especially when driving! During the winter, when the ground is covered in snow, surrounded by white, it can set off a decent glare while driving, so sunglasses are still important to have nearby.
Check out the fabulous pair that I received!
Aren't they fun? I usually go for big frames, but these were even bigger then normal. It's nice to try a something a bit different. They are great quality and very reasonably priced! I was quite impressed! Sunglasses Shop did not let me down! I highly suggest checking out their site and picking up a pair!
Have a wonderful day!

A Boot Buying Guide
With the evenings rapidly getting darker, the wind swiftly becoming harsher and the rain pelting it down with even greater vehemence, we can safely surmise that nobody enjoys the onset of winter. There is however one redeeming feature about the season – boots!
Most of us love a great pair of boots and have a favourite pair that is pulled out of the wardrobe year in and year out. There are however, certain ‘codes of practice’ when it comes to wearing boots and if you want to be regarded as a super-stylish fashion icon this winter, then it’s all about the boots you wear.
Consider the Length
Boots come in all different lengths and although the length of boots that you opt for is primarily about personal choice, there are some golden rules every discerning fashionista should follow.
Take ankle boots for example, they look fantastic with skinny jeans and trousers in general but should never be worn with dresses or skirts. Wearing a cute pair of ankle boots with dresses or skirts will only cut your legs off and make them appear shorter – an effect no woman wants to achieve.
Knee high boots are definitely the most versatile length of boots as they can be worn with jeans, skirts and dresses and look particularly great when worn over the top of a pair of skinny jeans.
If you’re wearing boot cut jeans then you are in the privileged position of being able to wear almost any footwear style beneath them. This is because the shape of the trouser leg is designed to fit seamlessly over boots, making them the ideal partnership.
Consider the Colour
The colour of your boots will significantly determine what outfit you can wear with them. Whilst black boots are certainly the most versatile, brown boots can look great during the winter. That being said, there are still a few golden rules to follow concerning the colours you pair together. For example, you would never wear brown boots with black dresses;or a pair of black jeans or trousers. Opting to buy a pair of black boots is definitely the ‘safest’ option but those with a more colourful wardrobe could afford to stretch to other options.
The most fashionable boots should exude and radiate a sense of comfort. In order for your favourite pair of winter boots to be comfortable they need to fit well. To ensure you are buying a pair of boots that will fit you well, always make sure that you are able to fit your finger between the heel and the back of the shoe.
