So my husband and I are going up to our big mall on Tuesday for new clothes!! I am definitely excited! I need some new additions to my wardrobe! I want to have some type of plan as to what type of items I'm looking for. It got me thinking about the basics. Like those items that are good for everyone to have in their closet at all times.
It made me realize I don't have a lot of basics. I think my wardrobe needs a reboot! So any suggestions?? Here's what comes to my mind when thinking of what people consider basic wardrobe pieces:

Is a pencil skirt a basic?
After that, that's where I have no idea!! And I don't even have all those items listed above! That's sad isn't it? I have a good pair of fitted jeans, and a pencil skirt.
What items do you girls consider basic pieces that every girls should have in her wardrobe?? I'm sure you lovelies know more than me! I'd love your ideas and opinions!

I do think a pencil skirt is important. I think the perfect jean is important and I personally feel like a girl should have as many dresses as possible! ;)
I'm off to a big mall tomorrow and have no idea what I need. Basics are always immportant. I like having plain tees in different colours: they're easy to wear with jeans. A black skirt is also a basic (for me).
I actually need a new pair of well fitted jeans as well.
I agree on jeans, you should also get simple white tank top and simple black tank top without any print or anything... If you don't already have them, that is. :)
shopping trips are so exciting! hehe those are definitely great basics to have.
Yes a pencil skirt is a basic- Also don't forget that with Fall around the corner to get a nice fitted boyfriend blazer. I just purchased one Im in love already.
Ohh I love this post!! I think every girl needs to have a black sweater or cardigan which can go over practicly everything.
Various colored tank tops are great to have, especially for layering. Oh, and how about just a cute loose t-shirt?

Yes a pencil skirt is definitely a staple! esp a nice black one. it would look great with one of those basic white shirts and a really nice belt!
