Guest Post: Sherin From HiFashion!!!

Here is an amazing guest post from Sherin of HiFashion! I'm so honored that she was willing to guest post on The Hot Spot! Both her and Leia are fabulous girls that have a great eye for fashion! So listen closely to these wise words from Sherin and stay tuned for Leia's guest post!! Also, be sure to check out their spectacular blog HiFashion!

Leia was initially going to write about Over The Knee boots, but I had to steal it off her because I am soooo in love with this trend. They are everywhere this season, from magazines to the catwalks, and even the likes of Kate Moss and Lauren Conrad are wearing them. But as Leia wrote: 'Are you bold enough to wear them?

I suppose they would be quite hard wear for a casual day out shopping and I don't know how well I'd pull this off, but they do look so lovely. And, there are so many styles and varieties, that there are pairs for most, if not all, occasions.

Couture Carrie, for example, picked out a wonderful selection of boots here,
showing that with thigh high boots, maybe there is something for everyone. I don't know how comfortable I'd be in Stiletto Thigh High Boots though. I can imagine myself falling all over the place. But they do look absolutely gorgeous. For example, these Faith boots are stunning Personally I'd love a flat pair of boots.

I think they'd be the easiest and most convenient to wear. Maybe something like these from Office
They definitely look more comfortable and practical for everyday life! The best thing, in my opinion to wear them with are a short skirt or mini dress, or maybe a pair of skinny jeans and tunic. Here are my high street picks for over the knee boots. It includes choices from places such as Top Shop and Asos, along with what I'd wear them with:

Here are my slightly more expensive picks. They include a gorgeous Louboutin pair and Jimmy Choos. All the niceness that I can't afford right now:

If you really don't want to buy a pair, why not make your own. Love Maegan has a brilliant tutoria for a DIY pair.

What do you all think of the Over-the-knee boot trend? Are you loving it as much as I do, or do you think its over-rated?

Fabulous guest post. I wear my black suede over the knee boots all the time, and they are heavenly. They have a wide shaft so they definitely work for day or night wear. I want to buy more, in fact! :)
