Misikko Review and Giveaway!

Hello Girls!  I am so excited to share with you, first, my review on two products that were kindly sent to me by John from Misikko!  John was so nice and helpful.  He was also really pleasant with me even when I asked silly questions!  :)   

Misikko has such amazing hair products and styling tools like their CHI Hair Straightener and professional blow dryers!  I was sent both the HANA Shine Shield Thermal Protectant and the CHI Silk Infusion to try out.  I'm not sure if this is how things are normally packaged, or if it's just when being sent to those reviewing the product, but I was so excited when I opened the box and saw everything!   I felt like I was being sent something by a secret admirer or something, because included in my box was a rose (fake, of course, but lovely), a red silk bag with 3 nail files and hand sanitizer inside, a pretty shade of red lipstick, and both hair products.  I was a very lucky girl! 

I will start with my favorite from the bunch!  Let me first state that whenever I try something new on my hair I'm always a bit leery.  You never know what it's going to do to your hair!  Misikko has such a great reputation though, so that was definitely comforting!

I first tried the Hana Shine Shield Thermal Protectant.
Here's a bit of info about the product from Misikko's website:

Shine Shield is a thermal serum that can be used as a leave-in conditioner - lightweight and never greasy, it protects and strengthens hair whether you use it with a flat iron, hair dryer or alone. Shine Shield contains the natural magic of Jojoba oil for its superb qualities of deep moisturization, fast absorption into hair follicles and scalp, and unparalleled shimmer & shine". 

I blow dry my hair, as well as, straighten my hair with a flat iron, at least every other day, so what this product promised definitely caught my attention.  After hopping out of the shower, I put just a small amount of this serum into my wet hair.  It has an oily consistency, but not in a bad way.  I wasn't exactly sure how much to use, but after getting about half way through blow drying my hair, I could tell a little bit went a long way!  I could already tell a difference!  After completely blow drying my hair, I went on with my normal routine of using the flat iron.  Since on the back of the bottle it says apply to wet or dry hair, or even skin, I decided to glide on a little bit more to the surface of my hair and then continue with the straightening.  Once I was finished with my flat iron, I looked in the mirror at the results, and was very much impressed!  In fact my hair has NEVER  looked this silky, smooth, or shiny! This product has become my new best friend!  I feel totally confident in telling my readers that the HANA Shine Shield is the best hair product I have ever used!

One suggestion I would have for you girls wanting to try this, is since it is a Jojoba oil based product, well with any oil based product, a little bit goes a long way.  There isn't any need to use loads on your hair.  I haven't used too much myself, but I'm sure if someone gobbed it on, you might end up making your hair look oily.  That wouldn't be the products fault though, just yours! lol Besides what a waste of product!

 Onto the CHI Silk Infusion.  I must admit, it was very hard for me to move onto another product after falling so in love with the first one.  I didn't want to go a day without my HANA Shine Shield! However, since I was so pleased with the one product, I expected to be pleased with CHI Silk Infusion as well.  Here's some information from Misikko's website on this product:

• Protects the hair against thermal styling and environment

I did the same routine with this product as I did with the HANA Shine Shield. This one has a different consistency, not oily.  It definitely helps with frizziness and containing those fly away hair problems.  My hair was very soft after using it.  Although it does leave your hair shiny, the HANA Shine Shield offers the best results shine wise!

I realize now,  I don't have a picture to show of myself with the second product.  I guess it slipped my mind. I did in fact, like the results though.  

It's good to alternate between hair products, to keep things fresh for your hair.  That's what I'm doing now with these two products.  I'm thrilled to see my hair is actually capable of looking incredibly shiny, and feeling so soft and smooth to the touch.  Never has my hair been so manageable and agreeing!
