Sweet As Lemonade

I've been doing some thinking after watching a young women by the name of Jordan Christy on the today show discussing her new book: How to be a Hepburn in a Hilton World

I was thinking how accurate she was when discussing how in this world we are consumed by hilton type stars in the media, rather than back in the day when they had such great women to look up to. Women like Audrey Hepburn for instance, women who were actually good at their craft. Rather then the women that are famous and yet have no real talent...but yet they are the ones all over the tabloid covers.....
Why in today's society are we bombarded with women stars exposing themselves to the media.....can you imagine Audrey Hepburn being seen in public without her underwear??! She had too much self respect to be put in that position. So what is lacking from the women stars of today? Now, I want to say, there are still some women who do represent what it is to be classy. But what is up with women of today? Are morals not an issue anymore? Is it just because today's
society has become more liberal that the stars of today are the way they are? I would really like to know what you think? I also want to know what stars you think are out there that are classy and lady like still.....like a classic Audrey Hepburn.....
Wouldn't it be better if when someone looked back at your life that they compared u to a classy women like Audrey Hepburn was or would you rather be a "lindsay lohan" or a "paris hilton"?
Okay, so with that theme I put together a set on polyvore, that was inspired by Hepburn. I thought these pieces were fun, chic, classy and lady like. What do you think? Any of these dresses are other things on here something u would wear? I think you can look utterly amazing without exposing a lot of skin.....bring back the classic beauty!!

I just realized I never acknowledged this award given to me by the amazing dynamic duo from Hifashion! It was greatly appreciated and I am so excited when I actually receive awards! So thank you so very much!

I want to pass this award onto:

Taylor S. from First the Girl
Sophia from Tic Tac Tomato
Kristin from BonBon Rose
Annie from ideas.fashion.life
I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday! And check out that link in my post before this one, it has a great recipe! Craving something sweet and easy? It's a how to video and it serves 12, with each serving only being a 100 calories! So enjoy! I know I'm going to try it!

Lovely post, and seriously...who would rather be Paris Hilton or even worst Lindsey Lohan rather than Audrey Hepburn? The book seems interesting and the pieces you chose are cute! Very classy!

I ask myself this every day...women have changed quite a bit in so little time and unfortunately in a very wrong and "fake" direction. I am dying to check out this book! Thank you for making this post.

I love that polyvore set, everything is so classy. I really want to read this book now. Its so true though: we do live in a society where you're famous for being famous. Although there are still a lot of talented celebrities who work hard, the newspapers are covered with the not so talented ones.
