This was the majority of my weekend, well not only my weekend but pretty much the whole past week. As some of you know I was sick, and I actually went to the doctor on Wednesday. I found out I had bronchitics! Which is what I thought I had.......he gave me some cough syrup with codeine in it, which makes you a bit drowsy. I missed work on Wednesday and Thursday, which is something I never do. I don't remember the last time I was sick from work! I went back to work on Friday, even though I wasn't 100% and struggled through most of the day, but I survived! I'm about 90% better, which is good. I just have a bit of a runny nose still, but it's a lot better than it was!
I am a huge Twinnings tea fan, and while waiting for my prescription to get filled at the grocery store on Wednesday I was checking out the teas and decided to try their peppermint tea. I've heard a lot of people mention how good it is and most of the teas I have aren't caffeine free so when I want a cup of tea let at night I've been passing because I didn't want to have any caffeine so let. So I decided it was about time to get a caffeine free one! My husband and I are hooked now! It's delicious! I would highly recommend it! It's just plain yummy!
Let me think what else did I do of any interest......well I watched Coco Before Chanel! It was a good movie, and I would suggest watching it if you are a Chanel fan. Chanel is one of my most beloved designer brands.
I had no idea about her background though. I was pretty surprised by some of the things I learned in the movie. I won't spoil it for any of you who haven't seen it, but for those of you who have I would love to know what you thought about the movie and her life and some of the choices she made? Let me know what you thought!!
Audrey Tautou who plays the young Gabrielle Chanel (a.k.a Coco Chanel) does a wonderful job of portraying her. From watching the special features on the movie it seems like Audrey got Coco spot on. She gives the character that same attitude Coco was known to have.
I had no idea Coco came from the background she did and had some scandalous aspects to her life! Very interesting!
