Friday Outfit Post

Hello girls!  I'm sorry for the lack in posting this week!  Anybody else finding it hard to post in December?  I hope I'm not the only one! This past week my husband and I have been doing loads of Christmas shopping, which has kept us both incredibly busy.  It can get kind of hectic around the holidays!

Here's an outfit I wore just the other day to church actually.  I've been trying to still dress up for church even though it's been incredibly freezing lately.  I would still like to look nice for church.  So here's my attempt!

Also we are leaving on the 23rd.  It's so strange to me to be gone during Christmas, but Tim's grandparents decided to treat everybody on his family's side, totaling around 16 people that are going, on a cruise!  It's a very generous Christmas gift so how could we refuse!?  They are getting up there in age, and they wanted to be sure to use this "healthy" time they have now and take advantage of it to go on vk with the family.  This is exciting, the only downside is I won't be seeing my side of the family on Christmas.  : (  Which is something I'm a bit sad about.  We come back on the 29th.  So we can either celebrate Christmas with my family a few days before or closer to New Years.  So as you can see, there's a lot to plan for!  We're are going on The Royal Carribean Cruise line to a few spots in Mexico.  Mexico for Christmas?  I know!  It's going to be different, but it should be tons of fun!  I have no idea what to pack though!  I know the weather is going to warmer there than it obviously is here, but how much warmer?  I will have to check things out online!

My Christmas tree is looking so sad lately.  Trust me, it was a lot prettier when I first decorated it!  We tried the orange peels. but it didn't stop her, and we keep forgeting to pick up the bitter apple spray when we are in town, so every morning there are new ornaments on the floor!  Least the bulbs are shatter proof, so I'm not too worried about her knocking those down, but she's already broken two other non-shatter proof ones, so I've pretty much just taken off the more meaningful ones to avoid her breaking those ones!   Sadly all of this just results in a bare looking tree!

Do you girls have any unusual plans for the holidays?  Do you have to travel far?  I'm hoping we don't have any delays in our flights due to bad weather!  I've never flown in December, so I'm not too thrilled about being up there in snowy weather!  Scary!  Hopefully, if you are traveling this year, you have a safe trip!

Another thing about this trip is, I have to be in a bathing suit!  In December!  During the winter months here, I always look so pale, so it should be interesting being in a bikini!  Hopefully I don't like glow in the dark or something!  haha  I'm not sure if it's warm enough there to get a tan or not.....that would be so nice if it is!

On another note, I was wondering if any of you girls would like to guest post at all this month?  It would be extremly helpful!  With everything my husband and I have to do to get ready for the holidays and vacation, it would be great to have some guest posts on here.  I don't want to continue to lack in the post department during this busy time!  If you'd like to guest post, you can say so in a comment, and than just leave your email. and I can get back to you, or you can email me at: thehotspot23@hotmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you! :)

The tree looks so gorgeous. It doesn't at all look sad. All the lights are so pretty and Christmassy.

Oh, your Christmas plans sound like so much fun. I can't wait to hear about your trip. The cruise should be so much fun.

Finally, love your outfit here. The red really makes the outfit pop and the skirt is really pretty.

How exciting that you're all being treated to go on a cruise! I'm sure you'll have a blast. I can totally relate to how you feel about not being with your family. It's hard sharing the holidays.
