I am dreading having my wisdom teeth removed.....I've heard many stories, some good, some ok, and some really bad!! We will just have to see how it goes. I'm having the surgery tomorrow, and am taking off Wednesday, and Thursday from work as well, hoping to go back on Friday.....
I'm not planning on being in the blogsphere during this week, so I thought I would just give you girls the heads up. I'm going to try to have some scheduled posts though, and maybe a guest post so still plan on stopping by. : )
I'm very nervous! As most of you know I've not been put under before, and have never had any type of surgery. Each day I get closer to it, I freak out a little more......

I know it will be better for me in the long run, but I am still not looking forward to the couple days after the surgery. A girl at my work had them removed last year, and took the two days off after the surgery as well, and was still in terrible shape when she returned to work....... she couldn't open her mouth very much still, and was swollen.....talked funny.....even cried at work... oh just typing it scares me! Hopefully my experience isn't as bad....I've also never had to have vicodin or any pain killer before, so I'm not sure how well I will do on that.
And here's a helpful tip, do not look up wisdom teeth on www.weheartit.com!! I just did, and I almost threw up, does not help me feel any better.........
Ok anyway, I've got my fridge stocked with pudding, applesauce, ensure, ice cream, etc....
My husband will have tomorrow off, so that's a good thing, but then he will have to work Wednesday, and Thursday, so I will be at home alone those two days until around 5.
I plan on watching The OC on dvd (I've already started re-watching it again from the beginning, luckily I have all 4 seasons!), I've got some new books, and the latest issue of Glamour.

So hopefully enough to distract me. Or maybe I'll be sleeping alot?
I'm also still trying to decide what will be my last solid food meal tonight! I can't eat or drink anything past midnight. What should I indulge in?

A burger and fries?

PIZZA?

Although, I will be eating a lot of sweet foods, but only "liquid" or super soft ones.
What would you eat before going on a liquid diet for a few days?

Good luck! Hope it's not too awful, and you have a good timeeating icecream, watching dvds and recuperating.
Also being waited on hand and foot by your husband is absolutely necessary for a full recovery!
Good luck and don't be afraid! Fear will only make it worse..be strong! xoxo Wishing you a short recovery
I will be praying for a fast recovery!
Good luck girl! I hope it goes smoothly. For me, it didn't. But in the long run, this pain is much less than the pain you'd have to endure later on if those suckers started to bother you. And like you said, everyone is different - I bet your surgery will be nice and smooth :)
And I say you indulge in a bit of everything ;)
Oh, sweetheart, don't worry about it too much. It's not the most fun thing in the world, but the pain does go away and it's not too horrible. When you first wake up, you'll be too numb to feel anything anyway! Just make sure you have ice cream nearby!
Oh no. I feel bad for you. I've had teeth removed, and it wasn't too bad. You'll be fine, and like you said: it'll be better in the long run.
But ice cream + the OC is the perfect combination for any recovery!
pizza for sure :)
hope it goes ok!!
