Savings Galore!

QVC Presents "FFANY SHOES ON SALE" October 13th 7-10pm

It's for a good cause! Breast cancer fundraising event! Members of the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) step up every year to donate shoes and more to FFANY Shoes on Sale®. The event helps a number of our country's premier hospitals and foundations who lead the way in breast cancer research and education. Designer and brand-name shoes are sold at half the suggested retail price.

Check out this link for the designer shoes being sold! I will mention of Jessica Simpson,a s she has been promoting this sale in magazine ads and other forms of advertisement, also I did see Micheal Kors named listed under platinum donors!

I also wanted to mention these oxford pumps from www.chadwicks.com they are $39.99. I saw them in my most recent copy of Lucky in which they offered a code to lucky readers to get 40% off the price. I'm almost positive it is still in affect and I wanted to mention it to all of you. Here is the code: CHlucky9

You can get this cute shoes for $24! So if you are digging this style I would go fast! I think the brown is the best pair, but that's just my opinion!

Also, I got my husband to let us go for a small shopping trip to our nearest mall area. I was in desperate need of jeans, since I've lost weight, I have no jeans that actually fit! They either wouldn't stay up or the jeans would sag in the crotch area or in the back......so not attractive! But since we are in the process of buying a house we don't want to be splurging on anything anytime soon. We want to be wise with our money.

I happened to hear about this store from a girl at work. It's called Gordmon's and it is a huge department store that sells clothes for guys and girls, perfume, purses, intimates, home decor......trust me so much stuff........here's the thing.....it's high quality brands for discounted prices. And these are all brand new, still packed, never before used/worn stuff! It's upto 60% off throughout the store! So I checked it out yesterday and I was happy with my findings! It was hard for me not to continue shopping after I found some pairs of jeans, but I knew I shouldn't continue looking because I didn't want to buy too much! lol I always hate buying jeans, because in my opinion they can be expensive, and they definitely add up fast money wise. So I was happy to walk away with two pairs of Bongo jeans, one being $19.99 and the other $21.99 and then a pair of YMI jeans for $21.99. On all their tags they list the retail price and Gordmon's price and when you check out your receipt tells you all your savings. We saved so much money! I would highly suggest this store. Check out the link to their website, and see if they have a store near you. They have over 60 locations in 16 states. You can't purchase online though, at least not that I'm aware of. Also, all the designer perfume scents you can think of I saw there. I've never really purchased fancy perfume because of the price, but when I do find a scent I really like, I'm going back there for it!! Fantastic prices!

Anyway, I just wanted to share that with all of you!

Onto something else:

First, I need to mention Eden from Chic in the Tropics' giveaway! Chickdowntown is pairing up with her to help a lucky blogger win an amazing pair of leggings! Which I'm hoping I win! Fingers crossed!

Second, I really want a nice fitting sheath dress. Everytime I see someone wearing one I think to myself how I need to get one of those! I want a solid colored one, at a low price. I'm hoping one of you may know a great place to find one?? If so let me know! I also really like the ones with a pocket hidden on either side near the hips or just below......And I want one that is sleeveless or short sleeve....I know lol I am being very picky!

Third, thank you all for the other day when you left sweet comments about hoping my day would improve. It was much appreciated! I was having such a frustrating day! Thankfully yesterday was better!

Well, I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Have you heard the Gossip?!

So this cute little sweater is from Charlotte Russe for $36.99! It is Gossip Girl inspired! Gossip Girl's stylist Eric Daman has been brought on to help Charlotte Russe! Do you love what the girls where on Gossip Girl? Well now here is your chance to get similar looks for less!! Check out Charlotte Russe's website for more info!

I also wanted to show you this belted corset that caught my eye on their website! It is $29.99. I've never really cared for the whole corset look, but I thought this one was cute and tastefully done, what do you think? Would you were it? I think I would wear it under a cardigan or something.

I wanted to briefly mention the Emmy's

One of my favorites: Jennifer Love Hewitt looked stunning in this sunny Max Azria!!

Leighton Meester's Bottega Veneta dress is alright, nothing spectacular, and her makeup is just a bit too much, which is disappointing because normally I think she looks fabulous!

Blake Lively's Versace dress is a better choice then Leighton's, although I wouldn't take a dip that low! lol I do like the shade, but overall I've seen better from Blake Lively as well. Also, I think she should have done something differently with her hair.

Kristen Wig's dress, in my opinion, is ugly, but her face and smile look great! She is one of my favorites on SNL

I didn't really watch the emmy's I just got checked out the fashion. Did any of you have any favorites from last night's show?

Well, I must go, sadly, I will be back tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day than how today's going so far. I'm in a frustrated mood. Hopefully that improves. It's so aggravating when you can't seem to see eye to eye with someone, even though you try. I hope your day is going better!

Anna Sui, Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta

First I want to thank Leia and Marietta for their help! I greatly appreciate it! Now I can actually comment on my favorite blogger's posts again!! Which is exciting!

So, have any of you actually been able to go to any part of Fashion Week before? I would love to be able to! Hopefully one day I can manage to see some of the fabulous shows!! That would be amazing! Above are two outfits from Anna Sui. I love that jacket and the gold dress!

Below the next three are from Marchesa's collection! These are very delicate and dreamy like!

These last ones are from Oscar de la Renta! His collection happens to be one of my favorites so far! I love that orange he uses! Gorgeous! I don't usually like shades of orange, but I'm definitely into these! The first dress is breathtaking! The second one is more casual but still very pretty! The gold is of course spectacular! I love the sparkle! That orange dress next to it is such a lovely shade! And the white dress that's last is so lady-like and delicate! Can I have them all??

Well, I am excited to be able to leave comments again! I hope all of you are doing well! We are getting ready for the big move! The whole process is long, but we about 75% done with it! Still waiting on official day we can move in! Can't wait! I better go though, I have to take a quiz online for class! Oh why must other things have to come before my blog?! lol

Help me!!

This is what happens, I go to someone's blog, and more often then not, after I leave a comment, their blog will pop up again in a new window of internet explorer and it will continue to do so, even after I try to close out, or close group. It just keeps popping up in the dozens, until I have to shut down the computer......I feel like I can't enjoy commenting on other bloggers posts....which limits my use of blogger. I don't know what to do, it's not just my computer either, it has happened on three different computers, all of which have virus protection, and no virus appears to be noticed. Could you please help me!

I don't know if this is happening to any of you, but I would really like help in this matter so that I can feel free to check out your blogs and comment! It has been driving me crazy! I left a question on the blogger help center thing, hopefully someone responds soon!

FASHION WEEK: Lela Rose and Diane von Furstenburg

FASHION WEEK: There is so much to show you all from Fashion Week. So here is more highlights! First set of pictures are from Lela Rose! I really like the first bold colored dress in pink! And I also like that more subtle shade of pink featured on that solid colored dress towards the last of the pictures! The shades of yellows are great also! I really like how delicate the whites look too!

Onto Diane von Furstenburg!

I think these girls look gorgeous! The colors and the patterns are amazing! I love the golds, yellows and oranges! The blue is pretty too! They seem like they are set for an island getaway! At least a very fashionable one! I hope you enjoy the outfits I chose to show you!

FASHION WEEK

Buying a house can be very time consuming. Alot of time and energy goes into the process. I just can't wait for us to officially close and move in!! The water test is the only thing we are waiting to hear back on.
Unfortunately between the house stuff and this interior design class I'm taking right now, as well as my normal full time job, I just haven't had much free time for the blog. I've missed you all and am looking forward to checking out what's new on all your amazing blogs! Please bare with me as I try to make more time out my hectic schedule for the blog, as it is something very important to me, as you all are! So please "stay tuned" for more fashion goodies! And as I've been a bit out of the loop, please feel free to leave a comment about what's new with you!

So I want to bring you some highlights from Fashion Week
Christian Siriano debuted his Payless line of heels! It's always nice to be able to pay less for designer styled shoes! Here are some of the shoes from that collection! The spikes are definitely fierce! Would you where them? I don't think I would wear the spiked ones! That just isn't my style! I'm under the impression that prices will range from $29.99 to $49.99. Not too bad! Check out http://www.payless.com/ for more details!

You Are A.................

Some of you may remember when I posted a which sex and the city character are you quiz and had started posts with where you can find clothes to fit your personality from the show. I ended up doing Charlotte but got distracted from continuing, but today I'm going to continue.
I will show you where you can buy pieces of clothing or accessories that are similar to that character’s taste! I know most of us are on some type of a budget so I have tried to stay reasonably priced in what I find. I also know many of us love the clothes the girls from Sex and the City wore on the show as well as the movie, so I’m hoping you enjoy this part of my blog!
Today's Sex and The City character:
You are A:
Miranda!
Your clothes show you are a very intelligent woman and that keeps you respected! You want a smart and distinguished wardrobe to compete in a man’s world! When you’re not at work you regularly turn to something comfortable rather than fashionable. But sometimes you can shock people with your hot skinny jeans!!
Miranda is usually seen in some type of pencil skirt with a blazer for work. A typical button down shirt is an essential part of Miranda's wardrobe. Below is a suit from Banana Republic. The skirt is $79.50 and the blazer is $198. This is probably the most expensive thing on this list, but once you purchase this you will get so much use out of it. You can pair the blazer with jeans on dress slacks or pair the skirt on it's own with a dressy top to make it more versatile!

A good dressy trouser is key: both here are from Charlotte Russe. On the left: $32.99

On the right: $26.99

The one on the right with the bow shows just a little bit of femininity. Having it show in just a small way is very Miranda.

We see a change in Miranda towards the last couple seasons of the show as well as in the movie. We can tell she's more comfortable showing her womanly side and actually wears dresses! For the most part though you won't see her go to girly like Charlotte, but she still has come a long way from her masculine wardrobe. Below is a vena cava printed khaki dress from the gap which is priced at $88. I think it suits Miranda's style since it is a earth tone and not too fancy!

I really like this dress below. Although it is more dressy then the one below, Miranda would definitely wear something like this. She seems to where earth tones rather than bold colors like Carrie. It's dressy without being to prim and proper! It's $110 and from jcrew.

I love these tops below, again earth tones are key! Pair these with your skinny jeans for a fun night out with the girls and you can't go wrong!

Left: Forever 21 $34.00

Right: Charlotte Russe $19.99

For jewelry stick to leafy looks or tribal inspired. Nature is a good way to go, nothing with tons of girly flowers or hearts though!

Left: Forever 21 $4.80

Right: Forever 21 $10.80

Shirt Above: Charlotte Russe $19.99

Below: Left: Forever 21 $22.80

Right: Charlotte Russe $19.99

Well, that is about it. If you are in the mood for incorporating Miranda styled pieces into your wardrobe, I think all of these are a good way to start! Have a wonderful day!!

Also, we bought a house on Saturday! Which was actually Tim's birthday! We get it inspected today and are so excited!!!!!!!!!!!
