Finding the right clothes for your personality

Each day I’m going to showcase a character from Sex and the City. I will show you where you can buy pieces of clothing or accessories that are similar to that character’s taste! I know most of us are on some type of a budget so I have tried to stay reasonably priced in what I find. I also know many of us love the clothes the girls from Sex and the City wore on the show as well as the movie, so I’m hoping you enjoy this part of my blog!

Since Charlotte is a romantic at heart, I found a lot of floral print dresses, as well as classy and sophisticated tops. She reminds me of a 50’s housewife in a way. She’s conservative and very traditional. I hope you like my finds:

Dressing Room

This is an akward pic of me I know, but it's hard to get a good pic in the dressing room. This was from last Tuesday when I went shopping. I was in H & M. This dress was like $14.50. I good deal, but I haven't worn a dress this form-fitting before, so I passed on it. What do you think? Would you buy it??

Prep School Remix

Ok, so like I said...... Looklet....is addicting. I created this outfit, with a prep school uniform in mind. Obviously I doubt think you get to wear that type of strapless dress under the blazer, let alone those heels, but it looks chic to me! I want the blazer and those heels so bad!

Hmmm...I'm trying to think about what's new with me lately.....I've mostly being working. Oh, and I've been doing pretty well with eating healthier foods vs. junk, and working out! So that's good right?? Hopefully when I get into my bikini for the first time this year, it pays off.....

Also, so by now you may have noticed I'm from Indiana. My husband and I are taking are vacation time here soon, and going to Florida for our 1 year anniversary! Ok, so for our honeymoon, we went on a cruise to the Western Carribean, so this won't be as spectactular as that, but that's to be expected, that was our honeymoon after all. :) Anyway, a friend of the family has recently purchased a 2nd home in Florida, and offered to let us stay there for the week around our anniversary. We would arrive on the 4th, they are going to pick us up from the airport, and then they will be leaving on the 5th, and we have their house to ourselves for the week! How nice! They also are lending us their car for while we are done there, and they have a pool, so we don't even have to leave the house if we don't want to, we will be just as content laying out by the pool reading (and me tanning too!)

So I'm pretty excited to go and get a break from work and Indiana! It's great too because all we have to pay for is the plane ticket, so that works out well! I think that's about it for now. I hope all of you have a wonderful and relaxing day!!!

Who wore this Alexander Wang dress better? Rihanna or Paris??? It's surprising to me that they would have the same taste in dresses!!

It was fun! I think this look would be good for a night out on the town!! New Dress!

I went shopping last Tuesday, I found this simple dress from Forever 21! I wore it for Father's Day! It's very comfy! It looks like a tank and skirt, but it's all one piece. Underneath the dress I wore a white tank, because the top part of the dress is a little see through! I do not want anything showing that doesn't need to be! lol I paired it with my anchor necklace from Forever 21, which is my favorite piece of jewelry right now!!! (If you haven't noticed!!) For shoes I just wore a pair of flip flops from Delia's. I fell in love with this dress when I tried it on, but then when I went to wear it yesterday, I wondered if the style of the dress was very flattering....I liked how it was puffy but I thought maybe people will think I look pregnant?? I should have got a picture from the side to show you better how puffy the dress was.....I don't know, but I took a chance, and I'm happy with! We had a cook out to go to for Father's Day, and it was fun! I hope everyone else had a good day of celebration!

I noticed soilikethelike mentioned Looklet, so I thought I would check it out! I'm happy I did it is very fun! you get to dress a model with amazing clothes!! I will have pictures soon of the looks I created! If you haven't checked it out yet I suggest you do!! :)

On The Streets Take 2!

So I have decided luckymag.com is one of my favorite places right now to find great pictures of fashion on the streets!!! I wish someone would catch me on the street and ask if they could feature me in their magazine!! How awesome would that be? A girl can dream. I don't think anyone who takes fashion pictures for a magazine would be in Indiana! Anyway, for the most part these girls are simply dressed, yet they look very fashionable in what they put together, don't you think??

3.I own almost all of Elvis’ 32 movies, he is my all time favorite singer. Anytime I hear his voice it puts a big smile on my face, and he was so good looking ! Also my dad took my brothers and I to Graceland (Elvis’s home) after I graduated high school! Amazing! I’m such a big fan that, my husband (who was just my boyfriend at the time) took me to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio the summer of ‘07…..which is loaded with Elvis memoribilla. While we were looking around at all the amazing stuff, Tim got down on one knee, and proposed to me infront of Elvis’s family Bible and all those people!! We got married almost a year later! And now….coming up July 5th, it will be our one year wedding anniversary! I’m so happy with him!


4.I’m trying really hard to eat better foods, and work out. I want to be in better shape. I want to be toned!


5. Family is very important to me, I’d do anything for my family.


6. You know the ants that are like 3 times the size of a normal ant? I’m totally grossed out by them and afraid of them! I don’t know why but I can’t stand how creepy big they are! I hate them worse then spiders! Bizzare, right?


7. I’ve been reading a lot of Mary Higgins Clark books recently. They are suspenseful, and even though I get scared pretty easily I read them late at night, with a little night light, in the dark so I don’t keep my husband up! And almost everytime, I get scared from something that’s happening in the book, and then I can’t get to sleep, because I think I hear strange noises! It’s terrible I know! Her books are so good though!


8. I have a big sweet tooth, which makes #4 a bit tricky!

10. I'm extremely happy with how this blog is turning out! I love that I have such loyal followers! I remember being so thrilled when I got my very 1st follower, and now I'm up to 27 and counting! I don't normally tuck in my shirts, but I thought it gave it a more polished look with the pencil skirt! I teased my hair a bit to give it some volume! I love doing that to my normally flat hair! I also really love that anchor necklace right now! I wore this to church!

Oh No She Didn't!

On the today show the other day, they were discussing how women are now more likely to be catty with each other, and make snide remarks to one another, or talk trash about another woman who isn't around at the time. I was thinking how sad that it is that some women have become that way and how I wanted to do something about it! So I'm going to take the time to do something about it!

I am going to highlight a few women on blogger who I think should be acknowledged for the good things they do:

Eden from Chic in the Tropics

This girl works in the media, which can have a bad reputation for "trash talk", yet she is one of the sweetest people on here. She compliments others and is thoughtful in what she has to say. She has fabulous style, and you can tell by her posts that she knows how to strut her stuff!!!

Sherin from HiFashion

Sherin is one of my favorite bloggers on here. She's thoughtful and sincere! Her blog entries are always so informative and captivating! You can tell by her blog (that she shares with the fashion-savvy Leia) that she is creative and very fashionable! She makes an effort to reach out to others which shows how compassionate she is!

The blogger from So I Like the Like

Her blog is always fun to read. She has great taste! I always look forward to reading her entries and her comments! She's very realistic about life, and seems very down-to-earth! She also likes the song God of This City, and you can't go wrong with that!!

Where I Blog!

Where I Blog!

I was tagged by the fabulous Marietta from DreamVille to tag where it is I blog!

So here it goes, now keep in mind my husband and I rent a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, where we are not allowed to paint the walls! So, although I like where we live, I wish I could jazzy up the place with some fun colored walls! So bear with me!

Although, I don't write my blog on the walls, lol, I figured I'd show one of the walls in the living room that has some fashion inspired framed pictures!

Below, is a quick view of our table, where I have done some research for the blog! Thankfully it's not cluttered right now!

So here is a sneak peek into our bedroom, which is where I do most of the blogging, besides when I'm at school, anyway, I wish we had a brighter comforter set. Of course, I myself would choose a bright pink, but being married things don't work that way....it's compromise! Which isn't a bad thing! I can't expect my husband to want pink anything....haha On the wall we have our three favorite wedding pictures on display!

Sneak Peek

Mark Mists Juicy Body Fragance

So being a Mark rep I get a sneek peak into the next catalog that will be coming out. I'm excited to see these deliscious smelling mists!!!

The 4 scents are:

-very watermelon

-luscious mango

-juicy peach

-tangerine squeeze

There was a sample of the luscious mango one, that smelled heavenly! I'm really excited to see what the watermelon one smells like! But they all sound amazing to me! I'm pretty sure I'm at least going to be buying the mango and watermelon scents!! They contain real fruit extracts too!! Ok, you all may not care so much, but I'm excited! lol What scent do you think would be best? I'm interested to hear what you like!
