Holiday Gift Ideas

So I want your input on something. It's obviously that time for thinking about gifts for Christmas. I really want to buy/make gifts that really have an impact on my loved ones. I want it to more about the message behind the gift rather the money value of it. Not that my family and friends aren't worth it, I just want this Christmas to be more about love and thoughtfulness and the actual meaning behind Christmas: JESUS.

So, if any of you have any ideas on gifts with a message or gifts that "keep on giving" type of thing. Just leave me some comments with your ideas, that would be fantastic! I hope to really touch the important people in my life this Christmas season. I've already decided on writing special letters to my mom, dad, and brothers, as well as, my husband. We should all take the time to write out all the special things that should be said about how we feel for our loved ones.


Anyway, let me know your ideas, I'm sure you have some great ones!

It's all about the A's: Ashley Greene, Adam Lambert, and ANTM

So Ashley Greene who plays Alice Cullen in the Twilight, and now New Moon, was on David Lettermen last night. I couldn't help but notice the suit she was wearing. Even my husband commented on how ugly it looked. I think the think I dislike the most is the cropped suit pants. That just isn't something like looks attractive to me. Also I don't like the red stripes paired with the blue or black striped button down shirt underneath. I think it's just a bit too much. I like the heels though! And she herself looks very pretty, you can tell she's a gorgeous girl. She just didn't choose well with this outfit. At least in my opinion.

Also, I was bummed to realize I had missed one episode of America's Next Top Model, that eliminated Erin and Jennifer. Of course I didn't mind to see that Erin had been kicked of, but I was sad to hear about Jennifer. I got to watch just the last 10 minutes of the finale, so I saw Nicole won. I was hoping that out of the two that Laura would have won, I felt bad for her when she was crying after finding out she didn't win, but Tyra was nice to her about it!

Also, have you heard anything about this Adam Lambert controversy? He was a bit racy at the awards show, and now in turn Good morning America canceled his scheduled performance on their show for Wednesday morning, saying "Given his controversial live performance on the AMAs we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."

This is what his controversial performance consisted of:

1. he flipped off the audience,

2. kissed a male keyboardist





3. fondled several of his backup dancers.

4. Lambert also pulled the head of one dancer into his crotch

I'm surprised he would choose to do all of that on one of his earliest concert performances in his new career. I'm sure many of you will go both ways on this topic, but I myself think it was too much, especially for live tv, children at home do not need to be seeing that. Especially pulling the head of a male dancer into his crotch. That is just distasteful no matter if it's a same sex pair or an opposite sex duo, it's not appropriate.

Girls of Melrose Place

So I've really gotten into the new version of Melrose Place. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. Do any of you watch it? Oh, there is always a lot of drama!!!! I wanted to show you the girls of the show and how their fashion sense is fabulous! I wish I could come up with better pictures, but you'll get the idea!






Stephanie Jacobsen plays Lauren on the show, she works at the hospital and is close to her dream of being a doctor, except that her huge tuition bills are even closer to finishing her career before it starts, so what does she do? Sells her body to men on the side...... I know it's sketchy and not a good thing to do, but I think she is so gorgeous! In my opinion she's the prettiest one of the bunch!

Katie Cassidy plays Ella on the show, she's not my favorite character but she usually has the best wardrobe on the show! It's between her and Lauren but both character wear great clothes, I think Ella gets to were them more often since Lauren is in scrubs for a lot of scenes. Ella is a publicist and has to look good all the time.

This little dress below is a bit daring for my taste, but besides the low dip the dress itself is of beautiful material!

What do you think? Have any of you been watching this season? I usually catch the reruns on Friday night. I can tell you this much, from what I've seen, Erin's attitude is dreadful! So I am hoping she doesn't win. It's nothing to do with her looks, in fact besides her eyebrows being made so light that it looks creepy at times, I think she is quite pretty, but she just is very self-centered and cries if she doesn't get her way. Poor attitude.....so she's definitely not the person I want to win. I'm not exactly sure who I think should win. I don't really care for Nicole, not to sound mean, but I just don't think she's that pretty. Now she's not ugly, I just don't think she's really pretty. Well, since I don't want Erin to win because of her attitude problem and I don't think Nicole is all that good-looking, I would have to say I want either Jennifer or Laura to win. Based of these pictures I think Jennifer is so gorgeous! So I guess I'm routing for her! I wouldn't be really disappointed if Lauren wins though, she seems like a sweet small town girl. She always wears clothes on the show that her grandma made for her! :)

I'm going with Jennifer though! What do you girls think?

I love this glittering gold dress Emma is wearing! She has really become quite the fashionista!

Look Whose All Grown Up

Look whose all grown up, well almost anyway. I think Dakota looks absolutely stunning above! It's hard to believe that just back in 2002 Dakota Fanning was just a wee little girl pictured below:




Now, as you can see by these recent pictures from her Teen Vogue cover photo shoot, she's not a little girl anymore. But she's not quite a grown woman yet either, remember she is only 15.

Here's a picture of Dakota playing Jane in the upcoming New Moon film, which I can't wait to see!!! And then Eclipse is set to come out in June 2010, which is so nice that we don't have to wait too long!!! I'm interested to see though if Dakota can be scary enough for this role. Jane is a member of the Volturi who uses only her mind to make people suffer extreme agony!! As of yet, I can't picture her bringing fear into a room, but I'm sure they knew what they were doing when they hired her. I can't wait!







Anyway, I thought these pictures of Dakota for the shoot were well done. She looks amazing. The scenery is great and the outfits are colorful and eye-catching. I especially love the leopard dress!
